Mate3S - FNDC
Hello!
Well I made some HUGE upgrades to our system! Now have 9 kw of PV, two VFXR3648 inverters, 3 FM80s, Victron Cerbo S GX and 3 Voltium 51.2 rack mount heated Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries (adding a fourth in a couple weeks for a total of 800AH). Haven't had generator run time in a couple months since the install (manually started twice for 2.5 hours each time).
While the FNDC through the Mate 3 S is behaving well reflecting fairly accurate SOCs (at least compared to what the Cerbo S GX reads right from the batteries BMS), I have these questions:
Is there a way to control the 3 LEDs on the top of the Mate showing battery status. For instance while the SOC is between 72% and 74% it shows Amber. When these batteries can be discharged to 20% or less I feel that at 72% Amber is showing LOW! To me it should still be in the green. I assume there is no correction for this though.
Thanks!

Re: Mate3S - FNDC
Wow! Major is an apt adjective!
You assume correctly. The Mate status LEDs are calibrated for lead-acid battery voltages, aren't adjustable, and don't really correspond to LFP metrics. (In fact, trying to track LFP SoC by voltage while under load is somewhat of a fool's errand in any circumstance.) Ignore the LEDs, or if they are too distracting, do what I did with the spurious check engine light in my '60 Ford Galaxy and apply a length of black electricians tape over the display. Problem solved.

Re: Mate3S - FNDC
Are the inverters series (240V) or parallel (120V) stacked?

Re: Mate3S - FNDC
I got really tired of the constant battery concerns and therefore decided to go to the LiFeP04 batteries as much as my pocket book HURT! As a result decided best to go 48 volt....so you know the way that goes....one thing lead to another....but Holy Crap....does the system work now! I am looking forward to getting the 4th battery and we might even be able to be "irresponsible"!!

For we off-grid folks, I consider the investment in LFP as mental health maintenance.
