Hi FM100 customers!
OutBack Power is almost done with internal testing of new FM100 AFCI firmware. We're looking for a few good external beta sites to validate what we're seeing.
This new firmware complies with the latest 1699B arc fault detection and interrupt standard. There are a few other minor changes/improvements, but the AFCI changes are the big deal.
Data collection is pretty simple: were there any reported nuisance arc fault trip events, if so how many.
Site(s) must be on OPTICS.RE and be functioning with little to no issues for at least the past year. Additionally, site(s) should be easily accessible because we expect firmware will be installed for approximately two weeks and then removed, and there is a small possibility of this beta firmware inducing one or more reported nuisance arc fault trip event, which would require user intervention to clear.
To be considered for the program, email Sales@OutBackPower.com with this Subject Line, "Volunteer to test new FM100 AFCI firmware", email me directly if you have my contact information, or reply to this post. You may also PM me. Participants will be selected on or around the 28th of November 2022.
If you choose to reply to this thread, DO NOT post your contact information here. OPTICS site name in your profile is sufficient for us to follow-up with you.
