Building FLEXpower TWO FXR Integrated Power Panel from Components

Post by bdimambro »

All,

I am building a FLEXpower TWO FXR power panel from individual components. This will be a 24VDC setup with 2 FM100 charge controllers. Are there any additional manuals/docs/illustrations/videos outside of the ones provided by Outback Power to help with assembling, testing, and then provisioning the completed power panel?

Any help will be appreciated,

Brian

Are you after duplicating the functionality of an FP2, or are you also trying to duplicate the (relatively) compact form factor?

If the latter, you are in for a bit of a wiring challenge, its pretty tight in the AC and DC wiring panels. The FlexWare 500 AC and DC panels are used.

I use an FP2 FXR with FM80s so can't speak to the FM100s, but imagine they can be used successfully.

Thanks for responding Raysun. What I am doing is duplication the full Flexpower 24VDC with 2 FM100 charge controllers. I was unable to purchase that configuration so I am assembling it from discreet components. Yea, the AC and DC boxes will be tight. Really looking for the build manual used by the assemblers in the factory where the power panels are built and tested. I have the wiring schematics so I can build from that.

I opened a support case to see if I can get additional build docs.

You won't get internal OB build documents. You will need to follow the schematics. Many of us have done similar for Radian GSLCs and VFXR boxes. As Raysun said it is pretty tight.

If it would help, I can take some pictures of my FlexPower Two system.
