Generator on Mate3S

Post by mikepxx » Tue Jun 23, 2026 7:28 pm

How do I set-up my Mate3S to monitor my Fischer Panda 4 mini? I'm using the Fischer Panda control panel to start and stop. I do not want any auto starting.

Thanks,
Mike P

In order for the Mate to "see" the Panda, the generator output must be attached to the inverter.
With shore power also being fed to the FXR, an external transfer switch will be needed to select shore or generator.
There are two AC Input profiles labeled Grid and Gen. (The labels are arbitrary and either profile can be used for any AC source.)
If shore power is already using the Grid input, then use the Gen profile for the generator. Set the AC Current Limit to the generator's continuous output rating (or less.) Set the inverter Mode to Generator. (If Generator mode works, then try Support. The latter is more efficient than Generator in using the AC Input waveform for charging.)
