FM 80 controller status screen

Post by bright.frank@gmail »

Basic question regarding my small off-grid system: I need an explanation for each of the readings on the status screen. That is, what “drives” each of the readings. I do have a Honda generator for backup, and it also charges the batteries (through the inverter) when it is running the house. Thank you.

The Flexmax 60/80 Owners Manual can be downloaded here: https://www.outbackpower.com/downloads/ ... manual.pdf
It details all the settings and readings.
The FM80 and inverter can charge the battery simultaneously, though autonomously. For them to work in concert, their charging parameters need to be set properly. Also, care should be taken to assure the combined charge rate does not exceed the battery's maximum rating.
