FM60 Auxillary Output

Post by DaveM »

I'm planning to use an FM60's aux output, via a Mate3s to run auto gen start.
I'll be purchasing a GSCM through Atkinson Electronics, and asked them about the appropriate wiring.

I was told:
If the FM60 uses a dry contact (relay), then you do not need a relay in between the GSCM and the inverter.
However, I'm not sure if the FM60 uses a dry contact as their Aux output or not. I'm sure it must be in the manual, but I have missed it. Can someone confirm? Thanks!

FlexMax AUX ports provide 12VDC when ON.
A small external 12V relay with (1A) inline fuse would provide dry contacts.
