My loads are less than 3.5kw peak and have no intent on selling back to grid, just using grid as a battery. Price on these have really come down. Are these considered a good buy and are they stable? I know they have been discontinued but can grab them as new with a 5 year warranty. Really like the high string voltage capability.
Only DC Coupled.

Re: Skybox Still a Good Buy?
I'm sure you've read through the forum, so have an idea of the behavior of Skybox. As far as stable, it's doubtful any firmware updates are forthcoming, so that aspect is "stable". Whatever operational capabilities, and deficiencies, inherent in Skybox now will be with it until the end of its service life.
Re: Skybox Still a Good Buy?
Thanks for the response. Guess I’ll pump the breaks on the skybox. I incorrectly assumed Outback would update/refine firmware over time.
