You might want to get in touch with Andrew Welch of WattPlot about his latest work integrating Midnite Solar charge controllers with Outback equipment in the latest WattPlot ACKcess 6 beta.

Re: Midnite Solar charge controllers
WhizBang Jr. is a current sensing module that attaches to a 50mv/500A shunt, and directly connects to the MidNite charge controllers. It gives the controllers system current readings (of the battery bus) so the End Amps parameter is useful in making charge termination decisions. Logic in the Midnite Classic charge controllers also calculate SoC derived from the current readings.

Re: Midnite Solar charge controllers
Yes, I am using one as well. For the past 2 years.
Works great.
I may reach out to Andrew and see if he wants any testing done.
I will need to take the time to get the Beta installed and working.

Re: Midnite Solar charge controllers
I highly encourage you to do so! The ACKcess 6 app is really taking shape (though definitely still a work in progress.) Andrew is very open to feedback from the tester/users so it's a great time to share your insights.
The system is easy to install. Due to its developmental status, WattPlot 5 is installed first (to get all the libraries in place) then the ACKcess 6 .exe is copied into the application directory.
My latest favorite development. A Device Information / Edit module that has every parameter stored in the Mate3 device list. All the values will be available to directly edit.

Re: Midnite Solar charge controllers
Practically anyone can try it at this point.

WattPlot™ ACKcess can now be downloaded and installed from this page. The communications and home screen (similar to WattPlot™ VisualMATE on steroids) will all operate with NO license fee or activation required!

If you want to check out a fully functional version at no cost, simply request a Trial Activation.
