Status Screen What does it all mean?

Post by Kaptain Kustard »

Hi
Can anybody help please.
I have just had a Flex 60 installed and am now a little confussed as to what the Status and End of day Summary Screens actually mean

I think that I have worked out that the PV INPUT CURRENT is exacly that. The Amps that the panels are producing.

What does the OUTPUT CURRENT mean?
What does the INSTANTANEOUS WATTS mean?

Indeed is there some where that all this screen data is actually translated into a simple language, is is it already simple and that I am a bit thick.

Thanks from Sunny Spain

Output current is the current being delivered to the batteries. Input power from the array is converted to a lower voltage and higher amperage by the charge controller. The output current tells you how many amps were produced after the conversion.

May be useful if the installer has not left the manuals http://www.outbackpower.com/resources/d ... ontrollers

Have a good one

The charge controllerÔÇÖs measure up to 128 days of logging. The logging will help you understand how your PV array is utilized to charge your batteries according to your settings.

The kWh is computed using the average battery current multiplied by the average battery voltage that is accumulated every 5.49 seconds.

I would suggest we examine page 20 & 21 of the http://www.outbackpower.com/pdf/manuals/flexmax.pdf together. What questions do you have from this?

IÔÇÖm still confused aboutÔÇØminimum battery voltage obtainedÔÇØ is that the actual minimum voltage recorded over the past day or the minimum voltage produced that day by the array?

It's just what it says, battery voltage.
