How to connect to IMO FireRaptor?

Post by lifepout »

Outback and IMO don't sell the 24VDC relay that is needed to hook up the IMO FireRaptor to a FlexMAX 100 AFCI.

Any recommendations?

Thanks!

I install and maintain grid-tied and off-grid systems in my area and consult on solar system design/operation.

There are a couple of thousand options to go for. Suggest you get a solid state relay. Search using terms; "solid state relay" "24VDC".

What's the best NEC-compliant wiring method to add the relay?
I have a conduit going from the flexMAX 100-AFCI to the GSLC - which contains both wires from the fireraptor.
Any suggestions for where to place the 24v SSR ?

Thanks!

I am not an expert in all aspects of the NEC. From a quick scan of the NEC for "control relay," most of the references are to motor starting type applications. I would put your 24 Vdc relay in the GSLC. The inverter to which it is attached has several 240 Vac relays.
