Strange reporting on Optics

Post by mikedowdell »

The system's been working great, however when I look at optics it seems to be populating data in a really strange way.

I'm not sure what you mean...

The first photo shows grid kicking in twice. In the first instance looks like it's responding to your refloat setpoint, but it is strange that your load shot up so high in the same hour. The second instance looks a bit weird because if again it's a response to low battery, your battery voltage doesn't look like it changed much at all as a result. Also strange because January 12 is only day showing any load.

The second photo looks strange if only because there's such a large spike in grid energy (and correspondingly, load) at 5:00 am. Something turned on at that time? Further, that's the only time any load appears that day.

If I'm wrong, please clarify what you see as strange. Btw, your battery voltage seems kinda low.

What AC mode is your inverter operating in?

On the contrary, the system's been consuming the entire time but not reading it. Additionally my Max output for the system is 2,500 watts but I'm showing 5,500 watt spikes and higher. the system's not representing what's going on at all but rather consolidating the usage in one large Spike rather than evenly over time as it's actually working. See below for how the system typically reports correctly. I know the usage hasn't changed.

I'd try rebooting your Mate and/or closing then reopening your Optics app.

I am getting weird spikes in opticsRE also. Please see pic attached below. I have been having problems since I uploaded the new firmware on my Mate3s. If I clear the internal data log and then do a firmware update it seems to work for about a week then it starts to act up again. D.
