Flexmax60 Beeping
Upon start up the other day, my Flexmax 60 gave 5 beeps, paused, and then a single beep. Any ideas on why or what this means? I have searched and not found an answer yet. I called and emailed Outback. No response yet.

Re: Flexmax60 Beeping
No forum responses....not complaining. No email response and no return phone calls. Multiple emails and calls made. This pisses me off. My 12v system was a significant investment. Outbacks customer service is really poor. I will pass this along when asked for an opinion on my system and what products I used.

Re: Flexmax60 Beeping
I meant did you have any further input on this. I don't find any references to the FlexMax controllers beeping.
Could it have been a buzzing sound from the power circuit transformer?
Did you note the IN and OUT voltages and amperages at the time, and the status text?

Re: Flexmax60 Beeping
I'm not even sure from your post whether the Charge Controller is working or not.
Can you charge your batteries from the PV array?
More details about your system components, and what the problem is (besides beeping) would help us to diagnose what you need...

Yes, a full listing of equipment is always helpful, even if its not obvious how the pieces affect the puzzle.
One item I noticed in the profile is the Battery Guardian 160. How is this wired into the battery circuit? A circuit diagram would be most useful, even a simple hand-drawn one.

Re: Flexmax60 Beeping
Thank you for trying to assist me. The charge controller is working properly. The 600w panels run into the charge controller. This runs to the battery bank (12v /300ah). The positive from the battery runs into the battery Guardian low volt disconnect set at 12.2 volts. This runs to the blue sea 12v fuse panel that I am using. I hear the charge controller click as it starts up in the morning. My post is about 5 audible beeps followed by a pause and then a single beep. I am at the cabin a few times a month. I don't know if it has beeped other times. I didn't see the readings at the time it happened. The batteries should have been close to full charge when the beeps occurred.

Re: Flexmax60 Beeping
The beeping remains a mystery. I cannot find any reference to such a beep code from the FlexMax.
One note of caution. Though the circumstance may be unlikely, if the battery Guardian is wired into the system in such a manner that it would disconnect the battery from the charge controller, the PV array activating without the battery to act as a power sink and voltage reference could cause damage to the charge controller.

Re: Flexmax60 Beeping
There would be greater issues if someone wired the battery guardian in that manner.

Re: Flexmax60 Beeping
OK. It wasn't clear from the description.
If you can recall the date the beep event occurred, perhaps scroll back to that day in the log, and see if it yields any clues.
