What model inverter do you have? Do you have your generator AC input current limit set higher than it was with the 2000 watt generator? (Because the previous setting may be limiting you to 2000 watts)

We have inherited this system with no instructions we have an independent 2x flex max 80 mate 1 and slave originally set up for 10000w gas generator than changed to a 3000w petrol generator, we have now got a 7000w generator but buying load still only 2000w really sorry to be unhelpful but have absolutely no idea what we are doing any help much appreciated #-o

Okay, no problem, lots of help on this forum. Half the solution is just understanding the problem!

So when you say the buying display is 2000W, are you referring to the Mate display? See highlight on this screenshot:

Your new generator can make 7000W. Is the problem that your system is only accepting 2000W? Or is it just a display problem?

Assuming you're off grid, correct?

If the AC input current limit is set too low, that would prevent your system from using your new generator's full output. Here's a Mate manual screenshot of where this is set:

Edit: Setting this to 30A should allow your generator to use full 7000 watts, assuming your house voltage is 240VAC.

As much detail as you can give will help a lot. - Mike

In case you don't have the Mate/Mate2 manual (assuming that is the Mate version being used.)
