Hi,
Been having some recent issues with bad mains power (low input voltage) and a VFX3024E used as backup inverter. This orange light is on, I don't remember it being on before. I do not have anything connected to the AUX terminals:
I checked the manual and it is not indicated what this light is for. Unfortunately I don't have a MATE with me in this country.
Thanks.
What is this LED? VFX3024E

I don't find any reference to the LED either. If its associated with the AUX terminals, perhaps it signals the ON state. If you have a multimeter, measure for the presence of 12VDC between AUX+ and AUX-

Raysun is right -- p.11 of the VFXR manual, (VFX probably the same...)

I believe the above is true. As I recall the LED was useful when troubleshooting AGS and it was the relay. I can't recall if the FM has the LED.

Thanks, that would make sense. I must have an older version of the manual. But I wonder why it would be illuminated when there is nothing at all connected to the Aux+ or Aux- terminals….

It has nothing to do with anything connected. Its just that the Aux is triggered. You've got something in the VFX enabled related to Aux programming that is turning on the Outputs when conditions are met. No big deal. It shouldn't affect anything.occamsrazor wrote: ↑Tue Jan 11, 2022 11:29 am Thanks, that would make sense. I must have an older version of the manual. Nothing need be connected to the terminals, rather something in the inverter configuration is enabling the AUX function.occamsrazor wrote: ↑Tue Jan 11, 2022 11:29 am Thanks, that would make sense. If AUX MODE = ON, the terminals are energized.
If AUX MODE = AUTO, the terminals will be energized in accordance with the selected Aux function's parameter values.
Without a Mate, it won't be possible to interrogate the state of the Aux.
