Half output after replacing inverter

Post by kalelgus »

Since 2005 I have had a solar panel installation. Originally I had 880 watts of panels (at 48 volts) and I added four 240 watt panels in 2010. Each group of panels has its own charge controller, output of the two panels are in parallel.

My original inverter was a Xantrax 4048. The power company forced me to replace it in 2014, so my installer chose an Outback 3048 inverter.

The problem I have now is that my grid production has fallen by 50% since the inverter replacement.

I have had my panels cleaned and checked. No problems were found with the panels.

I am looking for some hints of where to look for the 50% reduction in inverter output. Are there any inverter settings (Mate 1) that I should check?
