I recently installed a FPR-8048A-300AFCI radian inverter system for a customer. It's configured as a grid-tie, battery backup system (5 48V 3.8Kh SimpiPhi batteries). The utility is PGE. My customer is eligible for the SGIP money, but the radian inverter is not on the approved list of inverters for this program. Tech support seems very difficult to get a hold of these days. I did get an email reply from tech support that the radian inverter does not have some of the metering on board required for the program. The email also suggested that external metering might do the trick. I have inquired further to no avail, and do not know what sort of metering is being talked about. Does anyone here have any further insights? Admittedly, this is a pretty esoteric question, but I'm running out of places to turn to.
