Re: Mate 3s connection
Raysun, I lost internet this week and now I can't get the TP LINK to connect to the Mate3 for Optics. Seems like there is a sequence of getting it set. I don't recall and hope you do. I have the internet up and running again, and I've done a sync of the TP link to my TP router but when I move it dow...

Re: SimpliPhi Full Charge and CPM
I hope for all of our sakes, it is not such a great variance in construction or design of the battery internals (or BMS) that is the cause of inconsistent CPM results.

Re: SimpliPhi Full Charge and CPM
Having installed my bank in early October 2021, I had the float then set for 53.1v and operated that way until late November 2021 when I first got concerned about CPM not being met. I had two parms met in late October, I had two parms met in early November, I had one parms met in late December, I ha...

Re: SimpliPhi Full Charge and CPM
Screen Shot 2022-04-25 at 6.57.41 PM.png So having set the float voltage back to 54v, it appears my system stayed at 100%SoC for about 5 hours today. Seems like earlier in this string or under the SimpliPhi third-party batteries heading, there was much discussion about potential damage to these lit...

Re: SimpliPhi Full Charge and CPM
Ok, reset the float to 54v on CC and inverter, but can't do a rebulk as my system is showing 100%SoC right now.

Ok, I'm game. I will reset float to 54v and do another rebulk.

Re: SimpliPhi Full Charge and CPM
Well, after 15 days of failure to set CPM, I mashed the rebulk button, but to my surprise, it failed to set CPM. My float setting has remained unchanged at 53.1v. It seems my system SoC is staying in the 98%-97% range longer into the afternoon than what it was back in March and today when I initiate...

Re: SimpliPhi Full Charge and CPM
Glad you guys figured this one out. If I go more than a couple of weeks without CPM, I can just mash the button and rebulk. I won't be stressing the small stuff. On another related topic, I'm guessing with the price of propane being what it is now, I likely saved the equivalent of over half o...

Re: SimpliPhi Full Charge and CPM
Success! So, I did do a manual bulk charge this afternoon and it did reset the CPM so that works pretty effortlessly for the most part. My system was at 99%SoC and you can see by the enclosed screenshot it only took about 4 minutes once it hit Absorb to check "parms met". Screen Shot 2022-...

Re: SimpliPhi Full Charge and CPM
All things being equal is terms of overnight use, the low SoC this morning was 72% compared with that of the past three days at 74%. The low voltage this morning was 52.6v compared to 52.7v for these last few days. As you said, with the size of my bank, that small difference is easy to live with so ...

Re: SimpliPhi Full Charge and CPM
Update after setting CC Float voltage from 54v to 53.1v. We hit Absorb about 12:30 (it was cloudy) and then bounced around between 98 and 99 SoC until the sun went down. At 8pm (approx 2 hours after sundown behind mountains) my voltage was 52.8v compared to the prior 3 days at 52.9v and the SoC toda...

Re: SimpliPhi Full Charge and CPM
Well, I've been gone so I never took the opportunity to fiddle with the charging limits in the Global Charging Control, but I have noticed something that would likely confirm this is the issue with not setting CPM. The days in which we have fairly heavy cloud coverage but still reach Absorb, are the...

Re: SimpliPhi Full Charge and CPM
I honestly can't say its directly correlated to charging rate, but you can play with it. I generally use the Mate's Web app to track net charge. Its more "real time" than Optics. You can try an experiment by limiting charge current, either by setting Global Charger Control, or simply sett...

Re: SimpliPhi Full Charge and CPM
So my Absorb is set for 6 minutes and reaches that pretty much daily, but is having too many amps an issue? How do I check when it hits Absorb? Which screen to monitor?

Re: SimpliPhi Full Charge and CPM
So, once again with new batteries, I wonder if the answer to CPM inconsistencies might just be the BMS. I don't have any idea if a BMS has to go through a process of optimization (probably the wrong word) of any given battery or a string of batteries. In my case I have 7 BMS one for each battery. Do...

Re: Should I invest in Lithium?
Jayne, I was able to do my conversion myself with the help raysun, others on this forum and the SimpliPhi technical team. Raysun is a great source of information and insight. Since you have the Mate3s, making the changes to the settings is pretty simple. Those docs that raysun sent over in this thre...

Re: Making them work
I've hit 100% SoC for most days, but still haven't set CPM since December 20, 2021. I've not been home when we hit Absorb, so I've not been able to video the process to see what's going on between Absorb and float. Maybe next week I will have a day when I time it just right to video that event and p...

Re: OpticsRE displays buying from grid, but not grid tied
Thanks raysun, that was it. I suppose I must have somehow changed that setting (it's kinda of a toggle switch on the OpticsRE software) and then I must have hit "Apply" at some point. Wow, I need a break from all the confusion going on here in this house. We have been here over 13 years an...
