Re: Could using a Thyristor controller damage my Inverter?
Anybody know the frequency range of the 'wild' AC from the turbine? Looking at their promo literature, they show the rig directly connected to the grid. It's inverter output, so I'd guess all the "wild" would be handled in their charge controller. Stock AC out 60hz, other frequency (50hz ...

I am somewhat confused...
The wind turbine output is AC?
Anybody know the frequency range of the 'wild' AC from the turbine?
How many phase?

Spare spark plugs, belts, oil filter, distributor cap and rotor, and a spare set of spark plug wires are all ratholed in the gen shack. I thought about telling the owner to get his paws on a spare water pump too, but the fact that he picked up an air cooled Honda to back up the Kubota pretty well co...

Re: 1 1/2 year old install all fine and now dead
you need to find why the 50 amp breaker was triggered. unless you got the generator wired wrong and feedback to inverter. I think it might of gotten bumped or something as there was neither a generator nor any ac1 line hooked up. One thing I just noticed while watching some trouble shooting videos ...

Re: If conduit gets wet inside can conductors short?
FYI, UG primary is carrying about 7.4 kv in relation to ground. The cable itself is coaxial in nature, as it has a center conductor, thick insulation, a very loose 'shield' (a few stands of wire woven as a very open mesh,) then the outer jacket. That cable 'drain' wire is terminated to ground at the...

The local mate web interface also offers a file backup.
It creates an .xml file, but with a bit of practice, you can figure out the structure and what the values are.

Depending on the configuration of the meter, there are usually 2 or 2 and a half of what are referred to as 'elements' that monitor currents and voltages of all the 'legs' in the meter, both L1 and L2 plus neutral. (Neutral being the 'half' element if I remember correctly.) The meter has the abilty ...

If you have an Android device, I use 'Fing' to go out and sniff for devices on the local network. You also might do a port scan / check on the Mate and the router / intermediate devices to make sure that they can pass all the port #s in use. (Kind of a remote possibility, but it's one I would check....

Just for info to file away. .
Which FXR do you have?
So far, I see 230vac single phase out, and 24 vdc in, which narrows it down some, but.... just curious.

When you say "load tester" you are referring to an actual device something like an "SOC" that applies various loads to the battery, watches the voltage 'rebound,' and compensates for ambient temperature and ampacity? Nothing wrong with your basic carbon pile tester either, as lon...

1 year old doesn't mean they are all still good. I agree with raysun. Disconnect the blocks from the system (and each other,) and let the cells 'rest' for a while (like he said, several hours, minimum,) with no load whatsoever. Check voltages. Any one of them come up 'out of whack' with the others? ...

Dug through the .xml file for the Radian, and there is only one entry for the charger AC current limit. <AC_Charger_Input_Limit>220 </AC_Charger_Input_Limit> There is, however, a separate variable for max input current for each of the two AC input connections. If you use the GS load center, it has b...
