Re: Well-pump power-on and fault: "Loose DC Negative Terminal(s) connection"

The pump was turned on at the breaker and the inverter system went offline. There are 4000 Ahrs of battery. That was in my profile but I should have put it in my post. 20 Revolt batts at 200 Ah per. The first hub has the inverters and the second hub has the charge controllers. The pump is a 1.5HP w...

Maybe the battery is too small for the task. we need more info about the battery here.

Re: "Blind" system

Thank you raysun, I did as you proposed. It turns out that indeed the hub is dead. I could replace it but as soon as I plug in the Flexnet DC the Hub and the Mate loose power again. So, I guess, I will have to replace the shunt computer as well. Just wondering what could have gone wrong. Thanks aga...

Re: OpticRE Radian GS8048a Output Leg 1 kWh

I just checked my radians and all 4 are reporting the load only on leg 2. Or is a problem with optics or is the way the radians are logging the load total to leg 2 only.

Re: Two step Absorb - anyone know how to do it?

I think it can be mitigated in the float voltage that will have to be kept at least the 2 or 3 hours. That why some batteries have 2 hours absorb and 2 hours float. at float voltage the batteries are still charging but no gassing. Float is automatic with the FM80. If Absorb is complete, and there's...

I am 99% sure this is the charging data I need. https://www.centennialbatteries.com/knowledge-base/do-you-have-a-voltage-chart-of-charge-for-the-dc24mf-915-/ Does that look correct? Re: MATE3s can't read SD cards anymore

So OB support urged me to swap out the MATE3s anyway so I did. When I went to load the saved configuration from the old one, the new one wouldn't read the SD card either. Finally got it to work after several attempts. Seems to be working fine this morning. Only issue--not talking to OpticsRE. Just ...

Re: LCD & Hotkey blinking every 2-minutes (or so)

Try to change the communication cable from mate to the HUB if there is one. if not then change the cable between the inverter and mate. try a good cat6 network cable.
If there is a HUB then change the other cables just in case.

How? Mini Grid? I use mini grid and have in mate the "grid use" tab where I set when to use grid and when to drop every day. is your battery big enough to service the loads without grid help? if yes then the mini grid might be the way to go. or can be with setting to switch to grid load i...

The strange thing about the batteries is that they do fluctuate, some reaching very high values at times and then later getting to a lower value with other reac...

I suppose. The setting is for High values, so that may make it look like that.

Re: short absorb time

what are your thoughts on the monthly data and the calibration issue When the system is fairly quiet, (battery current/voltage not changing) measure and note the voltage at the battery +/-, then at the battery + and - bus bars, then at the FNDC battery +/- screw terminals. Best to take the calibrat...

Re: short absorb time

I see you are still running a single shunt. Any differencess between what the charge controllers report and what the FNDC reports would be lost to you. Two approaches to data differences that mean little or nothing: measure it but ignore it, or don't measure it and don't see that it exists. I know ...

Re: short absorb time

Since you have OpticsRE, and care to share (battery performance, not beer), perhaps post a summary of this month's useage to date, showing AH, SoC and V. Ray, I see that with the new system you still have the solar production smaller than what goes to the battery. Mine looks like this for the month...
