OK.
I'd suggest charging the two battery blocks separately to the same voltage, then recombining them.
Does there happen to be an ON/OFF switch on the battery blocks?

Re: Help needed reconfiguring system for LifePo4 batts
LiFePo4 cells are very low impedance (its why they need a BMS to act as "traffic cop"). Very minor differences in voltage make a very big difference in cell capacity. The leads need to be identical between the battery terminals and the battery bus bar (in your case the inverter battery ter...

Re: Help needed reconfiguring system for LifePo4 batts
How are the two connected? It would be best for each to be connected to discrete terminals on a battery bus bar using identical cables. Can you post photos of the battery connections? That being said, it is unusual for "downstream" blocks to be charging/discharging fastest. Some testing is...

Re: Help needed reconfiguring system for LifePo4 batts
GCC is not "Swiss Watch" precise. It will overshoot at times. However it hasn't been my experience that it automatically compensates for load. Then again, I only have my own system to go by.

Re: Help needed reconfiguring system for LifePo4 batts
50A is a trivial increase as far as battery longevity is concerned. A good place to start. LiFePo4 charge fast. That's a great thing about them! If you can live with them for a while, the longer you have them in service, the better the battery choices when it comes time to replace them. There's no '...

Re: Help needed reconfiguring system for LifePo4 batts
There is one issue with loads , the inverter is not compensating for loads like it used to . PV input is currently 1.8kw , if I turn the toaster on which draws .9kw the PV input doesn’t go up to compensate for the load , the system draws from the batteries instead . Is the system off-grid? The batt...

Re: Help needed reconfiguring system for LifePo4 batts
The Mate3 I have does have global charge control…but it only works if grid tie is enabled , I have enabled it and set Max at input at 40A The grid-tie settings for GCC are a constant source of confusion. To clarify: • Global Charger Control requires Grid Tie Mode = Enabled on the FlexMax Charge Con...

Equipment list corrected ! Yes two blocks connected in parallel which is the maximum recommended and I have set charge current @ 20A but will change that . Re: Help needed reconfiguring system for LifePo4 batts
Please check your profile and update the equipment list. A VFXR3048(E?) is listed, but its mentioned the system is 24V. How many of these 24V @ 100AH battery blocks are being planned? Does the BMS permit parallel connections? IMO, at least 2 blocks (24V @ 200AH) is a minimum. Looking at the specs, t...

Re: Ethernet Addresses
The entries under Port look to be "legit" LAN addressing. Confirmed by being able to access the Mate using the IP address displayed. The entries under Ethernet Addresses would not work. Perhaps they were manually entered at some point? DHCP Enabled, so the Port addresses are likely configu...

Re: Upgrading From FLAs to Simpliphi
For your battery, charge current is to be limited to 75 Amps. "Is this the case with two SimpliPhi batteries?" Yes I don't know about the Grid Tie Mode activity on the Mate3s, as I never had occasion to mess with it, except that the FX3048T isn't "grid interactive" so maybe the ...

Re: No PV or Inverter showing on Mate3s
Check all the disconnects (circuit breakers) and make sure they are in the ON position. Were any wiring or configuration changes made recently? What type/brand/model battery? Looks like the battery has been charged (by solar?) and the FM80 is currently idle as it has nothing to do. Also, the inverte...

Re: Using 5x 12volt batteries for 60V.. CC-OK Inverter-NOK
I assume with such a small battery, run time is limited. Another consideration is the maximum charge current the battery will accept. AGMs have relatively low internal impedance, so accept a relatively high charge current, but there is a limit. A flooded lead acid battery may be limited to 10-15% of...

Re: Upgrading From FLAs to Simpliphi
Disconnect PV, wait until FM shows idle (Snoozing, Sleeping, etc.), then reconnect PV to restart the FM80. Make sure you have Current Limit set to 75A. At 54.8V the battery is above Float voltage, so if the battery has been fully charged (check the Event Log), the FM has nothing to do at the moment....

Re: Using 5x 12volt batteries for 60V.. CC-OK Inverter-NOK
If the math is easy, why is it wrong in the original post? The stated design goal was a 10000AH battery. Obviously impossible with 5 200AH monoblocs. When a 60V battery was configured did the inverter start? Nowhere in the GS8048 documentation that I could find does it state the inverter charger sup...

I was using 4x12 200Ah AGM Batteris in the "48Volt" configuration and wanted to add a another battery to make the battery pack 10000Ah. now the flex charge controller has not problem with the absorb voltage of 73.5 or the float of 68.5V. but the Mate3a for the inverter GS8048a will not go...

I wish you good luck in finding a servicing vendor. If its like our area, and most areas I suspect, companies only service what they install. The general reasoning is having no input into the design and installation, vendors have no control over what they would be getting into. Also, service calls t...

I would trust the string sizing tool. The person doing the code for that knows what they are doing and purposefully allows the limits, but I understand if you are concerned about it. Maximum power or maximum DC/AC ratio can be important, but most important is the Max Isc (in the manual) and Voltage...
